Playing a disc (continued)
Caution:
!
Close the disc tray when it is not in use. Otherwise, dust may accumulate inside
and cause malfunction to the DVD player.
!
The DVD player is slightly heated when used for a long time. It does not mean the
DVD player is damaged.
!
When attempting to play discs with scratches or of a different region number, or
unplayable or restricted (*1) discs, an error message will appear on the TV display
and the disc will not play.
Notes:
!
A safety feature automatically sets the system to the power stand-by mode if you
set the volume level too high while playing certain types of discs. If this happens,
lower the volume level and restart playback.
!
Stop positions may be recorded on some discs. When you play such a disc, play-
back stops there.
!
During an operation, " " may appear indicating that the operation is disabled by
the disc.
!
When the DVD player is left unoperated for more than 5 minutes after pressing the
stop button, a screen saver appears. Then, after additional 30 minutes, the power
turns off.
