During playback

1 Press and hold ANGLE for more than 1

second.

Up to 9 pictures of the different camera angles recorded
on a disc appear on the TV screen.

Example: when 3 view angles are recorded.

The selected picture

2 Press Cursor

2/3/5/∞ repeatedly to move

to the desired view.

3 Press ENTER.

The angle list goes off, and playback starts at the
selected view angle.

NOTE:

While the angle list is shown on the TV, you cannot listen to the
sound.

Changing the subtitle languages
and audio languages

While playing back a DVD (or SVCD) containing subtitles in
different languages, you can select the subtitle language to
be displayed on the TV.
When a DVD contains audio languages (soundtrack), you
can select the language (sound track) to listen to.
• You can also select the audio channel of a Video CD/SVCD

disc.

Selecting the subtitle language

Using the direct button:

During playback

1 Press SUBTITLE.

The following pop-up window appears on the TV.

Example (DVD): “ENGLISH” is selected out of 3 subtitle

languages recorded.

2 Press SUBTITLE repeatedly to select the desired

subtitle language.

Each time you press the button, the subtitle languages
change.

For SVCD
• An SVCD can contain up to four subtitles. Pressing

SUBTITLE changes the subtitles regardless of whether
the subtitles are recorded or not. (Subtitles will not
change if no subtitle is recorded.)

The pop-up window goes off if no operation is done for
about 5 seconds.

NOTE:

Some subtitle languages are abbreviated in the pop-up window. See
“The language codes list” on page 61.
