Basic Playback
A
Load the disc.
A Press x on the DVD deck to open the disc tray.
● The unit’s power comes on automatically.
B Place the disc in the disc tray.
● For details, refer to “Placing a Disc” ( ੬
pg. 8).
C Press x on the DVD deck to close the disc tray.
● Pressing 4 also close the disc tray.

Select the DVD deck.
On the unit
Press S-VHS/DVD repeatedly so that the DVD indicator
lights up.
On the remote control
Press DVD so that the DVD indicator lights up.
C
Select the track.
Press 2 to locate the beginning of the previous track,
and press 6 to locate the beginning of the next track.
● You can skip a track across a group. Press 6 to skip to the
first track of the next group when the last track of the current
group is selected.
D
Start playback.
Press 4.
E
Pause playback.
Press 9.
● To resume normal playback, press 4.
F
Stop playback.
Press 8. Press x on the DVD deck to open the disc tray,
then remove the disc.
NOTE:
4, 8, 9, 2 and 6 buttons function the same as with Audio
CD discs, however, 3 or 5 does not function for MP3
playback.
Track/group selection

Perform steps below during playback.
Group selection
Perform steps below in stop mode.
To select a 1- or 2-digit track/group
Press the appropriate number keys to select the track/group
number.
To select a 3-digit track
A Press and hold the number key “+10” for more than 2
seconds during playback.
● “_ – –” appears on the front display panel.
B Press the appropriate number keys to select the
desired track number directly.
● Turn on the TV and select the video channel (or AV
mode).
● Slide the TV/S-VHS/DVD switch to the right.
Current track number
Current group number
Examples:
● To select track 5, press the number key “5”.
● To select track 15, press the number key “+10” and “5”.
● To select track 25, press number key “+10” twice, then
“5”.
Examples:
To select track 254: press and hold the number key “+10” for
more than 2 seconds, then press number key “2”, “5” and
“4”.
