To enter text in tap mode, press a keypad key repeatedly to
cycle through the letters and number on the key. Repeat this
step to enter each letter.
For example, if you press
8 once, the phone displays:
• If you want a different word (such as Text), continue
pressing keypad keys to enter the remaining
characters.
• If you don’t want to save your text or text edits, press
P to exit without saving.
• Tap Extended mode cycles through additional special
characters and symbols as you repeatedly press a
keypad key.

key to delete
character to left
of insertion point
Press
OK
to accept &
store text.
Character
displays at
insertion point.
After 2
seconds, the
character is
accepted and
the cursor
moves to next
