3 Select Details.
The primary Talkgroup is shown first, after the
Scangroup number.
Tip: You can also view this information while in a
Scangroup call: Press m . Select Details.
Making Group Connect TM Calls
1 Press # . Enter the Scangroup number using
the keypad. -or-
Scroll to the Scangroup name in Contacts or
recent calls list.
2 Proceed as if making a Direct Connect call.
Receiving Group Connect TM Calls
To answer a Group Connect call:
Proceed as if answering a Direct Connect call.
Only one person at a time may speak on a
Group Connect call.
When you receive a Group Connect call, the
following appears on the screen:
• The name of the Scangroup
• The name or number of the primary Talkgroup in
the Scangroup
• The Direct Connect number of the person
speaking
You can set your phone to receive Group Connect
calls from all the Talkgroups in a Scangroup or only
from the primary Talkgroup. See “Setting
Talkgroup Scan”.
Setting Talkgroup Scan
To set your phone to receive Group Connect calls
from all the Talkgroups in a Scangroup:
1 From the main menu, select Settings > DC/GC
Options > Scan.
2 Press A under Change.
3 Scroll to On.
4 Press
A under Select.
To set your phone to receive Group Connect calls
only from the primary Talkgroup in a Scangroup:
Scroll to Off in step 3.
Tip: You can also set this option from Contacts,
from the recent calls list, or after you begin
entering a number using the keypad: Press
m . Select Call Setup > Scan.
Turning off Group Connect TM Calls
To control whether you hear Group Connect calls:
1 From the main menu, select Settings > DC/GC
Options > Tkgrp Silent.
2 Press A under Change.
