Customizing Your Phone

DC/GC Options Features

The DC/GC Options menu controls how your
phone handles Direct Connect calls and Group
Connect calls:

• Scan — controls whether your phone receives

Group Connect calls from all the Talkgroups in a
Scangroup. See “Setting Talkgroup Scan” on
page 56.

• Tkgrp Silent — controls whether you hear

Group Connect calls to your Talkgroup or
Scangroup. See “Turning off Group ConnectTM
Calls” on page 56.

• Tkgrp Area — lets you define your Talkgroup or

Scangroup area.

• One Touch DC — See “Setting One Touch

Direct Connect®” on page 53.

• Alert Type — controls how your phone notifies

you when you receive Direct Connect calls and
Group Connect calls. See “Setting Your Phone
to Not Ring” on page 104.

Personalize Features

The Personalize menu makes main menu items
easier to access.

• Menu OptionsReorder Menu lets you

change the order of the items on the main menu
by grabbing and moving them; Add/Remove
Apps
lets you create a shortcut to a Java
application on the main menu.

• Left Sftkey — sets the main menu item you

access when you press the left option key from
the idle screen.

• Right Sftkey — sets the main menu item you

access when you press the right option key from
the idle screen.

• Power Up — sets the main menu item you see

when you power on your phone. To set the idle
screen to be the first thing you see when you
power on your phone, select Default Ready.

Volume Features

The Volume menu sets the volume of sounds your
phone makes:

• Line 1 — sets ring volume for phone line 1.
• Line 2 — sets ring volume for phone line 2.

• Messages — sets the volume of message

notifications.
