The filter bag
Peak performance of your cleaner
can be maintained between dust
cup emptyings by turning cleaner
OFF, unhooking bag spring and
shaking the bag.
Very fine materials, such as face
powder, cornstarch and fireplace
ashes, picked up in large quanti-
ties can seal the filter bag and
cause a loss of suction. When us-
ing the cleaner for this type of
dust, shake the bag often and
empty the dust cup frequently.
Periodically, after emptying and
replacing dust cup, and with filter
bag unhooked, place your hands
at the back of the bag and stuff
bag down into dust cup several
times. This will help to remove
any dirt that has accumulated in
the filter bag.
The headlight
How to replace the headlight
Disconnect cleaner from elec-
trical outlet.
This cleaner uses 12 volt, wedge
base type 912 bulbs.
1. Set adjustment lever for pile
height to the “NORMAL” or
“HIGH” position.
2. Turn cleaner over and remove
the two screws indicated in the il-
lustration. Place cleaner in the
upright position and remove
hood.
3. Remove bulb by pulling straight
out of socket.Replace by pushing
straight into socket until it locks
in place. Both bulbs are replaced
in the same manner.
4. Replace hood and tighten
screws.
