Serial Number Identification and Location
The generator serial number identifies your
particular unit and is important when ordering
parts and accessories. There is a sticker located
on the top of the unit that displays the serial
number. It is also stamped on the engine block
visible when the service door is removed.
IGR1000P — located to the right of the
engine oil cap.
IGR2000P — located above and to the
right of the engine oil cap.
IGR2600HP — located to the left of the
engine oil cap.
4. Pre-Operation Check
Be sure to check the generator on a level surface with the engine stopped.
Running the engine with insufficient oil can cause serious engine damage.
1. Check the engine oil level.
a. Loosen the cover screw and remove the left side maintenance cover.
b. Remove the oil filler cap, and wipe the oil level indicator with a clean rag.
c. Tighten oil cap and remove again, and check oil level.
d. If the oil level is below the end of the indicator, refill the recommended oil up to
the top of the oil filler neck.
The Low Oil Alarm System will automatically stop the engine before the oil level
falls below the safe limit. However, to avoid the an unexpected shutdown, it is
recommended to inspect the oil level and refill regularly.
