Indicators

The indicators light and flash to indicate the printer’s status. Each indicator may light or blink in
green, red, orange, or blue. For details, see Indicators on page 55.
Turn the printer off while charging
the rechargeable Ni-MH battery Press the (Power) button quickly two times.
(Feed) button function Operation
Eject the paper manually (manual
form feed) Make sure that the printer is turned on and that there is paper loaded,
and then press the
(Feed) button. Paper is slowly ejected as long
as the button is held down.
If you continue to hold down the (Feed) button after about 1/2 inch
(12.7 mm) of paper has been ejected, about one page length of paper
is ejected at high speed. The amount of paper ejected is determined
by the [Form Feed Mode] setting (see Page Feed Mode on page 35
or 48).
In order to assure that printing is complete before permitting a form
feed, manual form feeds cannot be performed for five seconds after
the printer has received any data.
Print the printer settings 1 Make sure that the printer is turned on and that no paper is loaded.
2 Hold down the (Feed) button for at least 2 seconds.
3 After the DATA indicator lights in red, load paper to print the printer
settings.
Set the printer to maintenance
mode Maintenance mode is used when printing the printer settings
(described above) and when cleaning the platen roller (page 53).
Make sure that the printer is turned on and that there is no paper
loaded, and then press and hold the
(Feed) button for two or more
seconds until the DATA indicator turns red.
To return to the previous mode, quickly press the (Power) button
twice to turn off the printer.
