REMOVAL SERVICE POINTS

OIL PAN REMOVAL
(1) Knock in the special tool deeply between the oil pan
and the cylinder block.
(2) Hitting the side of the special tool, slide the special tool
along the oil pan to remove the oil pan.

REMOVAL OF UPPER OIL PAN
(1) At first remove the bolt (Length: 121 mm DOHC-GDI for CARISMA>, 116 mm PAJERO io>) which is nearest to flywheel, and the remove the other bolts. Caution A C " OUTER ROTOR/INNER ROTOR REMOVAL (1) Make alignment dots on the outer and inner rotors for reference in reassembly. INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS " A A INNER ROTOR/OUTER ROTOR INSTALLATION (1) Apply engine oil to the rotors. Then, install the rotors ensuring that the alignment dots made at disassembly are properly aligned. Never use the special tool (oil pan remover), etc.
