FJ80 II Speedlight: Firmware Updates
The FJ80 II Speedlight is designed with a USB-C port to allow for firmware updates only. Future firmware
updates will result in performance enhancements, modified menu options, and improved menu layouts.

FJ80 II Speedlight: Getting Started
Charging the FJ80 II Lithium Polymer Battery
1. Ensure the FJ80 II is
OFF
by long-pressing the physical
Power
button until the LCD screen turns
off.
2. Remove the battery from the FJ80 II by pressing each release button located on the sides of the
battery and gently pull the battery away from the FJ80 II battery well.
3. Connect the FJ80 II Power Cord to the FJ80 II Battery Charger and plug the cord into a wall
outlet.
4. Align the gold contacts on the back of the FJ80 II battery with the contacts on the FJ80 II charger;
while pressing the buttons on the side of the battery, gently insert the battery into the charger
and gently press down until the battery locks into place and the LED begins to blink orange.
5. The battery is charged and can be safely removed from the charger when all of the LED indicator
lights turn green.
6. Remove the battery from the charger by pressing the side release buttons and gently pulling
away from the charger.
7. Reinsert into the FJ80 II battery bay.
Battery Charger LED Indicator Lights

Solid Green Indicator LED

No Battery Inserted:
The charger is plugged into a power outlet and is ready to charge
the FJ80 II Li-po Battery.
○
Battery Inserted:
The FJ80 II Battery is fully-charged and ready to be removed from the
charger.
●
Blinking Orange Indicator LED
○
Battery Inserted:
The FJ80 II Battery is correctly inserted and charging.
