Reattaching the FJ80 II Lithium Polymer Battery
Reattach the FJ80 II Battery to the speedlight by aligning the gold contacts on the back of the battery to
the contacts on the FJ80 II battery port. Gently press the battery into the battery well until it clicks into
place.
DC Power Operation
1. Ensure the FJ80 II battery is completely charged.
2. Ensure the battery is securely attached to the FJ80 II.
3. Turn the speedlight
ON
by long-pressing the physical
Power
button, then tap the blue power
logo on the screen until the start-up screen appears.
NOTE: The FJ80 II LCD Touchscreen may be protected by a removable clear screen protector that can
be removed at any time by gently pulling the film away from the display.
NOTE: The FJ80 II was designed to achieve 500+ full-power flashes with every battery charge. Achieving
this burst count requires that the touchscreen screen intensity be set to
MIN
in the
Settings
menu.

Attaching to a Camera
1. Ensure the FJ80 II is
OFF
.
2. Slide the base of the FJ80 II into the camera’s hot shoe with the touchscreen facing the same
direction as the rear of the camera.
a. NOTE for Sony Users: The FJ80 II M Universal Speedlight requires the #4711 FJ Adapter
for Sony Cameras accessory (sold separately).
3. Rotate the FJ80 II locking dial clockwise (left to right) until it’s securely mounted to the camera.
Detaching from a Camera
1. Ensure the FJ80 II is
OFF
.
2. Rotate the FJ80 II locking dial counterclockwise (right to left). (NOTE: Ensure that the dial has
been completely rotated to the left. Otherwise, the locking pin may be permanently damaged
upon removal of the speedlight from the hot shoe.)
3. Securely grasp the sides of the FJ80 II Speedlight, gently slide the speedlight towards the rear of
the camera, and completely remove it from the camera’s hot shoe.
NOTE: Always ensure that the locking pin is fulling retracted before inserting into the camera’s hot shoe.
Never force or remove the FJ80 II into or away from the camera’s hot shoe.
