C. Photoshop Elements 7.0 – 8.0

Digital imaging software may vary – Photoshop and Corel Draw are the most common. For our
purposes we have chosen to work with Photoshop Elements 7/8

because of the ease and guided support

they provide.

Configuring Elements 7.0

1. Install Photoshop Elements 7.0

Register with Photoshop.com

2. Importing photos - Under the ‘File’ tab choose “get files and video”. Photoshop Elements 7.0 will create a

link between your hard disk and the photo. It will not copy or move the image.

1. Organizer auto edit -

3. Cropping an image - Under the ‘Image’ tab select Crop or select the crop tool from the left tool bar.
4. Resizing Image – Under ‘Image’ select ‘resize – image’ and adjust. Remember to

increase your image size

that the image

wraps the tile

when pressed. Example - a 6x6 tile should have a minimum image size of

6.1x6.1 in

5. Multiplying images in Photoshop Elements on 1 piece of paper

a. Once first file is complete, create a new file. Select ‘file’ – blank. Then under image – choose resize –

canvas. Adjust to desired size.

b. Using your Move tool (top tool on left sidebar) move image onto the canvas.
c. Continue until canvas is filled to desired level.

6. Using a Template

a. Under ‘File’ select open and choose template. Now you need a picture to put in the template.
b.
‘File’ – ‘Open’ – choose picture.

*Now you have the 2 files open on your screen. Minimize the photo and click on the template.

c. Click on the Move Tool (top tool on left side), then click on the photo in the WORK BIN (bottom of

screen) and drag it into the template.

d. On the Right of the screen you will see the various layers of the templates and photo layer. Make sure

the photo is in the middle of the 2 template layers. To move your photo, simply click on that layer and
drag it between the 2 layers.
