A. Printer Set up
Before you install the ArTainium bulk ink system, you should set up the Epson 1400 printer
with the Epson supplied inks and driver.
Conduct a nozzle check to make sure that the system is working properly. Record the alpha-
numerical value from the nozzle check (on far left side of the page). This is your firmware
number which will be needed later on in the ArTainium ink profile installation.
Once this is completed you can begin the ArTainium installation process. Note: Please remove
the Epson cartridges before moving to step number one.

**TIP**
Adjust the tube clip (Step 11) to ensure smooth movement of the tubes. We found that about an inch to
the left of the center mark worked great.

*Key Points*
Step 6 - Select Photo RPM and Super B 13x19 paper. In sequence the settings should read:

Step 8 Mirror Image is not necessary for glass images. Mirror Image should be
unchecked

Once saved go into Printer Properties and manually add the Artainium UV+1400v1.
Also, set this as the default driver on this printer. Disregard all information after Step 10 as it does not apply.
Calibrate Monitor with Windows Control Panel
Simply select Adobe Gamma in your Control Panel and follow directions.
