Installation and Operations Manual
Operating Modes
Two operating modes are available:
Host operation mode
Remote operation mode
Host Operation Mode
When the QuadraVista HDMI is in Host operation mode, a keyboard and
mouse connected to the Unit are used to control the QuadraVista itself. A
larger mouse cursor is displayed, and actions such as changing the size and
position of up to four remote computer windows are enabled.
NOTE:
Upon re-connecting the keyboard or mouse, the cursor may
disappear in Host operation mode (press the Pause/Break key to
solve this problem).
Remote Operation Mode
When the Unit is in Remote operation mode, the keyboard and mouse are
used to control a specific computer connected to the QuadraVista HDMI.
Special functions are available in both Host and Remote operation modes:
When Host operation mode is active, use the mouse connected to the
Unit to re-size and re-position any windows on the output display.
When Remote operation mode is active, operate a single computer
system displayed as a window on the screen using the mouse and
keyboard connected to the Unit.
Switch from host mode to remote mode by moving the Host cursor into
a specific computer window on the display and double-clicking the left
mouse button, or by clicking the “enter” icon in that window.
To switch operation back to the Host use the keyboard hotkeys. The
host cursor will reappear.
In Remote mode, you can control a computer with up to four windows
shown simultaneously on the display, or you can resize the computer’s
window to fill the display.
When in Remote operation mode, the unit automatically transfers the
mouse / keyboard input signal to the specific computer.
