and the bottom of the lower part of the blow torch pointing downwards).
Screw all parts together precisely and without interruption. Do not strip
the screw thread.
Steps to be taken when fitting the butane cartridge:
Close the regulation valve on the upper part (No.1) of the blow torch by
turning it clockwise (-). Place the butane gas cartridge into the cartridge
holder (No.3). Now screw the cartridge holder gastightly to the upper
part (No. 1+3), till the safety latch at the side snaps (No. 1b).

Changing the butane cartridge

It is possible to change the butane cartridge only if it is completely empty
(see section headed Security instructions – Warning). Check that the
cartridge is empty before changing (shake it a little if splashing of liquid
is audible). Make sure the flame on the burner is extinguished before
loosening the cartridge and the burner has cooled down. You can loosen
the lower part (No.3) from the upper part (No.1) by pressing the safety
latch (No. 1b) at the side and rotating the lower part counterclockwise
(No.3). Take the empty butane cartridge from the lower part of the device
and dispose of it accordingly. Now you can attach a new butane cartridge
(see section Attaching the butane cartridge).

How to operate the device

Fit the cartridge properly into the device (see Attaching the butane
cartridge). Carry out a test for leaks (to be carried out outside). Afterwards
turn the gas regulation valve (No. 1a) by about ½ rotation in direction
of the arrow towards (+). Then light the flame at the burner tip and only
now open completely the gas regulation valve (No. 1a), so that the flame
can reach its highest performance. By turning the regulation valve
(No. 1a) in direction towards (+) and (-) you can regulate the performance
of the burner.

Very important!

When starting up the device do not hold it horizontally or with the
bottom pointing upwards and do not shake it. In this case, liquid
gas would stream into the burner. After lighting the burner, let it
preheat at least for 3 minutes, before you turn the blow lamp with
burner head pointing downwards (see No.5). Otherwise there is a
danger that liquid gas would stream into the burner, which would
lead to a blazing uncontrolled flame.
However if this happens, the
device has to be immediately positioned upright again, in order to stabilize
and reach its normal intensity. After the recommended preheating time
(appx. 3 mins) the blow lamp is fully functional again.

Switching off the device

By turning the gas regulation valve (No. 1a) in the direction of the arrow
(-) the supply of gas is stopped and the flame extinguishes. Let the
burner cool down.

Storage and transport

Follow the safety instrauctions stated on the butane cartridge.
Storage: Store the device in a vertical position!. Never store the device
or the butane cartridges below ground level (e.g. cellar, boiler room,
etc.). Storing area must be sufficiently ventilated.
Transport: Ensure that the device stands securely upright and is secured
during the transport. Make sure that the device does not fall over or fall
down uncontrollingly.

Care of the device + Repair service

It is allowed to use only recommended spare parts. Do not use a device
where any parts are damaged. Any repairs as well as replacement of
the nozzle can be carried out only by an authorized specialist dealer for
liquid gas or by the manufacturer. In case of a repair contact the
manufacturer at the maintenance address below. The nozzle is marked
with 28 (nozzle No. 28 – corresponds with the nozzle diameter of 0,28
mm). Do not make any modifications to the device.

Changing the gasket

When changing the gasket the wider lower rim of the new gasket must
fit precisely to the gasket holder on the piercing pin. The rubber gasket
can be replaced only by an authorized specialist dealer or by the
manufacturer.

Cleaning the device

It is possible to clean the device with a dry cloth only when the burner

has cooled down. Do not use any cleansing agents because the oppenings
in the burner and the nozzle could become blocked.

Environmental instructions

or damage the environment and it is not dangerous for the ozone layer.
The butane cartridge or its contents do not have a restricted shelf-life.
Follow the regulations for the liquid gas.
