• Saw chain (1) is correctly tensioned

if it can be pulled around blade 2 by

hand (wearing gloves) without sag-

ging.

• When the saw chain is tensioned with

9 N (approx. 1 kg), the gap between

the saw chain and the guide rail may

not be more than 2 mm.

1. Turn blade fixing screws (5) anticlock-

wise to slightly loosen blade (2).

2. Set the tension of saw chain (1) using

chain tensioner (3) (see small image).

- Turn the chain tensioner clockwise to

increase the tension.

- Turn the chain tensioner anticlock-

wise to decrease the tension.

3. Tighten the blade fixing screws (5) in

order to fasten the blade (2) again.

Where saw chain (1) has been newly

tensioned, readjust the chain tension

after a short period in operation.

Check the chain tension before

each use of the cordless pruner.

Chain lubrication

Always switch off the device

and allow the motor to cool

before filling with chain oil.

There is a risk of fire if chain

oil overflows.

Blade (

2) and saw chain (

1)

must always be oiled. Non-obser-

vance of this will result in increased

wear on the blade and saw chain.

A full tank will last for approx.

15 minutes of continuous operation.

Check the oil level in good time.

The cordless pruner is equipped with an

oil automatic system. As soon as the motor

is speeded up, the oil also flows faster to

the chain bar (

2). Before starting work,

check the oil level in the oil automation sys-

tem (see “Operation startup”).

Filling up with chain oil:

• Check the oil fill level in the oil level

inspection window (20) and regularly

top up with chain oil.

• Use bio chain oil ; this product con-

tains additives that reduce wear and

tear and does not damage the pump

system. bio-oil is available from our

Service-Center (see page 77 for the

address).

• If you have no bio chain oil available,

use chain lubrication oil with low adhe-

sive additive content.

1. Unscrew the oil fill cap (19) and fill up

with chain oil.

2. Wipe off any spilled chain oil and

close the cap again.

Note that the saw can re-oil.

Charging process

Do not expose the battery to

extreme conditions such as

heat or impact. Risk of inju-

ry from escaping electrolytic

solution! After eye/skin con-

tact, rinse the affected areas

with water or a neutraliser

and consult a doctor.
