User Settings
The user settings relate to how the Paper Writer is used and what it is used for, and include
various security settings.
Item Description
Sync to account Confi gures synchronizing accounts between apps.

Specifi es whether apps are permitted to identify
your current location using Wi-Fi or mobile
network data.
GPS function Specifi es whether apps are permitted to identify
your current location using GPS.
Security Screen lock Sets the authentication method used to unlock
the screen.
Owner information Confi gures the owner information display for
screen lock.
Tablet encryption Encrypts data stored in the Paper Writer.
SIM card lock setting Specifi es whether a PIN code must be entered
to use the Paper Writer.
Show password Specifi es whether the password characters are
displayed briefl y when the password is entered.
Tablet administrator Displays a list of apps that have been granted
device administrator privileges for the Paper
Writer.
Supplier-unknown apps Specifi es whether apps with unknown suppliers
are permitted to install on the Paper Writer.
Trusted authentication data Displays trusted CA certifi cates.
Install from SD card
Installs certifi cates from SD cards.
Clear stored authentication Deletes all the certifi cates.
Language and
input
Language Sets the language used.
Spellchecker Enables/disables the spellchecker and selects
the dictionary used.
Custom dictionary Stores a custom dictionary.
Keyboard and input
method
Confi gures the keyboard and character input
method.
Read aloud output Selects the audio engine used and sets the
speed at which text is read aloud.
Pointer speed Sets the mouse pointer speed.
Pointer method Specifi es the input method used (fi nger + pen,
fi nger only, pen only).
Backup & reset Reset data Erases all the data stored in the Paper Writer.
