NOTES
• The optical zoom factor also affects the lens aperture.
• Use of a tripod is recommended to protect against
hand movement when using the telephoto setting
(zoom in).
Using Zoom
Your camera is equipped with two types of zoom: optical
zoom and digital zoom.
Optical Zoom
Optical zoom alters the focal distance of the lens. The range
of the zoom factor is shown below.
Zoom Factor Range: 1X to 3X

Enter a recording mode.
2. Shift the zoom
controller to change
the zoom factor.
(Wide Angle) : Zooms out.
(Telephoto) : Zooms in.
