• Failure to observe any of the following precautions

while using the battery creates the risk of over-heat-
ing, fire, and explosion.
— Never use any other type of charger except the one

specially specified for the battery.

— Use this battery only with a product for which it is

expressly specified.

— Never use or leave the battery near open flame.
— Never place the battery in a microwave oven, throw

it into fire, or otherwise expose it to high heat.

— Make sure the battery is oriented correctly when it

is connected to the charger unit.

— Never carry or store the battery together with items

that can conduct electricity (necklaces, pencil lead,
etc.).

— Never try to take the battery apart, modify it in any

way, or expose it to strong impact.

— Do not immerse the battery in fresh water or salt

water.

— Do not use or leave the battery under direct sun-

light, in an automobile parked in the sun, or in any
other area subject to high temperatures.

• Should you ever notice leakage, strange odor, heat

generation, discoloration, deformation, or any other
abnormal condition while using, charging, or storing a
battery, immediately remove it from the camera or
charger unit and keep it away from open flame.
