Caring for the Product

Sufficiently Charge the Battery When Cold

On cold days, the capacity of batteries tends to decrease. Do not cool the camera at low
temperatures. A camera whose battery is exhausted at low temperature may not turn on.
Keep the camera in a warm place. Once warmed, a cold battery may recover some of its
charge.

Charging a Camera That Has an Exhausted Battery

Turning on or off a camera that has an exhausted battery may result in reduced built-in
battery life. Charge the camera that has an exhausted battery before use.

Storing the Battery

Recharge the camera at least once every six months and completely exhaust it before

returning it to storage.

Store the camera in a cool place. The battery should be stored in a dry location. Do not

store the battery in hot or extremely cold locations.

Rechargeable Battery Life and Replacement

A marked drop in the time a fully charged battery retains its charge, when used at room
temperature, indicates that the battery needs to be replaced. For replacement (charges
apply) with a new rechargeable battery, consult your Nikon-authorized service
representative. You cannot replace the rechargeable battery.

Recycling
