4.4 Level 1 menu – Display mode
The display menu is shown once the blueplanet inverter starts up.
Measured values and all of the counters are displayed here. Key “1” is
used to navigate through the individual menu items.

Figure 4.4: Display mode menu
Explanation of the individual menu items:
Display of inverter type
Displays the unit name of the inverter (initial setting).
Generator voltage and current
Displays the current voltage and current of the PV array that is con-
nected to the inverter.
Grid voltage, current and power
Displays the current power (W), grid voltage (V), grid frequency (Hz)
and current (A) that the inverter feeds into the grid.
Temperature inside unit
Displays the current heat sink temperature. If the unit becomes too
hot, the unit will reduct power output or switch off.
Yield counter
This counter totals all yields until it is reset.
The customer can
define the time period for this counter, e.g. so that it
acts as a monthly counter. The counter is cleared using
menu level 2, “Clear feed in counter”.
Yield today
The power that has been fed into the grid during the current day. This
value resets to zero each morning.
Total yield
The power that has been fed into the grid since the inverter was
started up. The starting value can be set in menu level “2”.
CO
2
savings (total)
Shows the CO
2
savings of this PV installation compared to the German
electricity mix. The CO
2
savings are calculated from the total yield
counter and can also be cleared with this counter.
Operating hours counter
This counter totals the operating hours until it is reset. The customer
can define the time period for this counter, e.g. ao that it acts as a
monthly counter. The counter is cleared using menu level 2, “Clear
feed in counter”.
Operating hours today
Today’s hours of operation. As soon as the inverter is in stand-by
mode (i.e. when LED (1) lights up), the operating time is added up.
Total operating hours
The operating hours since the inverter was started up. As soon as the
inverter is in standby mode (i.e. when LED (1) lights up), the operating
time is added up.
In addition, all status messages are integrated into this level: As long
as they are present, they are a part of the menu, which means that
they will appear again after you have scrolled through the whole of
level 1. They are automatically
•
cleared when the DSP shows a fault-free status, or
•
replaced when the DSP transmits a status that results in
another message.
They only appear in level 1. If they occur while the menu system is in
another level, they are saved and displayed when you return to level
1 as long as they are still present.
Display grid errors
When the function is deactivated, the menu level is run through and
starts by displaying the unit name when key “1” is pressed again.
When the function is activated, the 5 most recent grid faults within
1000 operating hours are displayed.
•
Pressing key “1” then displays the corresponding fault mes-
sages.
•
Once the grid faults have been displayed, the menu
level is run through and starts by displaying the
unit name when key “1” is pressed again.
