7.1.3 Grid Fault
If the fault is on the grid side, a two-digit error code appears
on the right side of the system display (see figure to the right:
A). With this error number you can narrow down the type of
malfunction. The table below describes the type of fault, its
cause and what you can do to rectify the fault.

Cause of fault:
Contactor defective.
Corrective measures:
• Contact the SMA Serviceline.

Surge voltage arrestor failure
Cause of fault:
Surge error.
Corrective measures:
• Check surge voltage arrestor.

Reverse current failure
Cause of fault:
Short circuit in the PV generator.
Corrective measures:
• Check the PV generator for short circuits.
