Safety Chains
Locate the 1/2” X 5” hex bolt and slip on a
1/2” flat washer, next insert into the last
link on the safety chain and then thru the
hole in the actuator housing and tongue.
Slide another safety chain over the
exposed end of the bolt add another 1/2”
flat washer and secure with a 1/2” flange
locknut.
Winch Post Installation
The height of the bow eye on your boat will
determine the required length of winch post
needed. With that determined attach the
winch post base to the tongue with three
(3)1/2” X 4” carriage bolts and secure with
1/2” flange locknuts.
Align the holes in the Profile 2000 mounting
channel with the holes in the top of the
winch base. Attach the front of the winch
head mounting channel to the base by
inserting a 1/2” X 4 1/2” hex bolt through the
hole closest to the front of the winch base
and secure with a flange locknut.
Note that the winch head can now be
rotated up or down to be positioned just
above the bow eye. When determined, align
the holes in the mounting channel with
those in the base and insert a 1/2” X 4 1/2”
hex bolt making sure to align the bushing
with the bolt and holes on the inside of the
winch base. With the bolt threads exposed
on the right side of the trailer secure with a
1/2” flange locknut. Tighten all bolts.
