Close Caption: Detects the presence of Closed
Captioning (CC) information in the VBI of the input
video signal.
ENABLE: check to enable this test.
IMMEDIATE PRESENCE STATUS: shows the
current status of CC – green for present, and red for
absent.
DISPLAY CC, DISPLAY XDS: Enables the parsing
and the display of the Closed Captioning and the
XDS.
ALARM CONFIG: use the slider to set the Error
Duration; the period during which CC must be
continuously absent before the CC Presence error
will be flagged
VITC Presence: Detects the presence of the input
Time Code from a predetermined input line.
ENABLE DETECTION: check to enable this test
IMMEDIATE PRESENCE STATUS: show the
current status of VITC – green for present, and red
for absent.
LINE: Determines the input line monitored for the
Time Code detection.
HELP tab:
Gives additional information on each of the parameters
measured by the Video Probe. Click on the pull down
box at the top of the panel to select the desired
parameter.
