Introduction to the power module
The PSR150-A and PSR150-A1 are AC-input and DC-output power modules. The PSR150-D and
PSR150-D1 are DC-input and DC-output power modules. These power modules can convert the input
voltage to 12 V that is required by the powered device, and their maximum output power is 150 W.
Table 1 Supported features
Feature Description
Protection
Output over-voltage protection, output short-circuit protection, output current-limiting
protection, and overheat protection.
Redundancy
Supports parallel connection of two power modules, thus implementing 1+1 redundant
current sharing.
Hot swapping
When the device is operating properly, you can power off a power module of the 1+1
redundant power supply system and remove it from the device.
Auto-recovery support of the power modules in the protection status is shown in
Table 2 Protection functions
Protection function
Status
Auto-recovery support
Over-voltage protection
No power is supplied because the
power module is deadly locked.
Not supported
Short-circuit protection
No power is supplied because the
power module is deadly locked.
Not supported
Current-limiting protection
No power is supplied because the
power module is deadly locked.
Not supported
Overheat protection
No power is supplied.
Restoring power supply after the
temperature decreases
NOTE:
When a power module is deadly locked, it does not support the auto-recovery function. Follow these
procedures to restore the device:
•
Disconnect the power cord from the external power supply system.
•
Unplug the power cord from the power module and then insert it again.
•
Connect the power cord to the external power supply system and restart the device.
In the case of overheat protection, take measures to decrease the temperature of the device. The power
module recovers after the temperature falls.
