Restoring factory default settings
If the unit does not operate properly, follow the procedures
below to restore the unit to its factory default settings. This
might return it to ordinary operation.

Press the AUX 2 button on the remote
control.
If the unit is in standby mode, press the STANDBY/ON
button to turn the unit on before this operation.
p The standby indicator lights orange when the unit
is in standby mode and is unlit when the unit is ON.

Press the SKIP button (.) on the remote
control.
p The main unit’s MULTI JOG knob cannot be used to
restore the factory default settings.

Press and hold the Stop button (8) for at
least 2 seconds.
“FACTORY RESET” appears on the top line of the display.
When resetting completes, “FINISHED” appears on the
display.

Unplug the power cord from the AC socket.

Plug the power cord into the AC socket
again.
The standby indicator lights orange.
This procedure erases everything in the unit's memory and
restores it to its factory default settings.
You will need to reset the timer, tuner presets and other
settings.
