Press the SOURCE button repeatedly to

select “TUNER FM” or “TUNER AM”.

When using the remote control, press its TUNER but-
ton once or twice to select FM or AM.

Press the TUNING MODE button to select the

tuning mode.

Each time you press the TUNING MODE button, the
tuning mode changes as follows:

Manual tune

Preset tune

Auto tune

Turn the MULTI JOG knob to tune the station

you want.

Listening to the radio (1)

Manual tune
Turn the MULTI JOG knob until you find the station you
want. On the remote control unit, press the Scroll buttons
(k/j).
The frequency changes by fixed steps (FM: 0.05 MHz for
European model and 0.1 MHz for North American model,
AM: 9 kHz).

Automatic tune
Turn the MULTI JOG knob to start automatic tuning.
When a station is found, the unit tunes in to the station
automatically.
Press and hold one of the scroll (k/j) buttons for at least
a second to start automatic station tuning. When a station
is received, automatic tuning will stop.
Repeat this step until the station you want to listen to is
found.

If you want to stop the tuning process, press the Stop
button (8).

Preset tune
Turn the MULTI JOG knob to tune in to a selected preset
station.
You can also use the remote control's Skip buttons
(.//) to tune in to a selected preset station.

If the reception is poor

Rotate or relocate the FM or AM antenna to find the best
position for reception.
