Features
The following features make the ADC-8432 the best solution for analog to digital audio conversion:

Converts analog audio to AES/EBU digital audio and provides AES/EBU signal
distribution

Can synchronize to frame or external Digital Audio Reference Signal (DARS) audio
reference signals (but not to a video reference signal)

Internal clock generates audio sampling frequencies of 32kHz, 44.1kHz, 48kHz,
96kHz or 192kHz

Documentation Terms
The following terms are used throughout this guide:
•
“Frame” refers to the DFR-8300 series frame that houses the ADC-8432 card, as
well as any openGear frames.
•
All references to the DFR-8300 series frames also includes all version of the 10-slot
(DFR-8310) and 20-slot (DFR-8320) frames and any available options.
•
“Operator” and “User” refer to the person who uses the ADC-8432.
•
“Board”, and “Card” refer to the ADC-8432 card itself, including all components
and switches.
•
“System” and “Video system” refer to the mix of interconnected production and
terminal equipment in which the ADC-8432 operates.
