GEARBOX OIL:
Recommended Oil: SAE 90 EP or SAE 80W90 EP
Factory Fill: Shell Spirax HD SAE 80W90
Checking Level – 100h / Monthly
A level indicator plug is located on the side of the gearbox (the lower
plug). Proper oil level is set when oil starts to flow from this hole. If
the level is low, add oil through top breather plug until correct level is
attained. Replace and tighten plugs.
MOWER MUST BE LEVEL when checking oil level
DO NOT OVERFILL! Gearbox may over-heat causing premature
component damage.
Changing Oil - 600h / Yearly
The gearbox oil should be changed after the first 50 hours of
operation and every 600 hours or yearly afterwards.
Oil change quantity – 0.52 Qt (0.5 Litres)
