Using the Laminator LCD panel
Use the LCD panel to change laminator settings, or use the Laminator tab of the Status
Monitor to change some settings from the PC.

Single
Pass
Default setting; laminates on one side only.
Passes card without laminating.
Film
1-mil
0.6 mil
overlay
1-mil is the default setting. Use it for patch film 1-mil thick.
Use for patch film 0.6-mil thick.
Use with topcoat with no positioning markings.
Film Position
-7 to +7
Adjusts the patch transfer position. Default setting is 0; the
patch moves to the right with a positive value and to the left
with a negative value.
Temp
Temperature, default 170°
Press the RESET/K key to set temperature from 120° C to
200° C in 5° increments.
Press the ENTER key to confirm selection.
Speed
Lamination speed, default
5.5mm/sec
Press ENTER and use the RESET/K key to set lamination
speed from 2mm/sec to 10mm/sec in 0.5mm/sec
increments. The value that can be set may be limited by
the temperature setting.
Press the ENTER key to confirm selection.
Card Fan
Off, Low, Half, High, or
Full
Press the RESET/K key to turn the card cooling fan Off
(default), Low, Half, High, or Full.
Press the ENTER key to confirm selection.
Cool Time
0 (default), 5, 7, or 10
seconds
Press the RESET/K key to select the amount of cooling
time before laminating starts.
Power Save
Off, 10, 20, 30 (default),
or 60 minutes
Lowers the heater temperature if no lamination has
occurred in the set time period. Preheating automatically
returns when a card enters the laminator.
Using the default value of 30 minutes can reduce
discoloration of the laminator material.
LCD contrast
1 to 5
Press the RESET/K key to set the LCD display contrast
from 1 to 5. The larger the number, the higher the contrast.
Cleaning
Without HR
Cleans the transport roller only.
With HR
Cleans transport and heat rollers. Remove the laminate
cartridge to clean the heat roller. See
for more information.
Online Setting
Displays settings sent from the PC when the RL90 is
connected through an RP90 Plus E printer to a PC.
