5. TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Possible Cause
Solution
The Kanguru Dock will
not power on.
The power cable is damaged or
not connected securely.
Make sure that the power cable is
not damaged and is not loose.
The voltage of the outlet the
Kanguru Dock is plugged into
does not match the Kanguru
Dock.
Make sure that the voltage of the
outlet matches the voltage of the
Kanguru Dock.
The Kanguru Dock
cannot make copies of a
Source hard drive.
The hard drive is not
connected or was not detected
by the Kanguru Dock.
Make sure that your hard drive has
been inserted into the bay correctly.
The USB cable is connected.
Make sure that the USB cable is
not connected during duplication
The hard drive jumpers are not
set in the correct position.
Make sure that all the hard drive
jumpers are set to the Master or
Cable Select position.
The hard drive may be faulty.
Make sure that your hard drives are
healthy and do not have errors.
Transferring data to hard
drives in the Kanguru
Dock is slow
You are not connected to a
USB3.0 port
To get the fastest transfer rates,
make sure your Kanguru Dock is
connected to a USB3.0 port.
Your hard drive has errors
Make sure that the hard drive you
have connected to the Kanguru
Dock is healthy and does not have
any errors.
