Instructions for Use
Description:
Astrobrush are polishers for occlusal and concave restoration
surfaces and for fissures in particular. The polishing effect is
achieved by a polishing medium (silicon carbide), which has
been incorporated into the bristles. Therefore, a polishing
paste is not required.
Shapes:
Astrobrush is available in the following three shapes:
– Regular cup
– Small cup
– Point
Composition:
The bristles are made of polyamide with silicon carbide
incorporated as the abrasive medium. The shanks are made
of gold-plated brass.
Indication:
– Polishing of restorations fabricated of composites,
compomers, ceramics, and glass ionomer cements
– Removal of exogenous discolouration in the course of
prophylactic treatment
Contraindication:
If patients are known to be allergic to any of the compo-
nents of Astrobrush, the product should not be used.
Side effects:
None known to date.
Application:
Regular cup:
For polishing restorations fabricated of composites,
compomers, resin-reinforced glass ionomer cements, and
ceramics. This polisher is particularly suitable for large
restoration surfaces in the posterior region.
It also represents the basic instrument for the removal of
exogenous discolouration in the course of prophylactic
treatment.
Small cup:
For polishing anterior and cervical restorations and the
occlusal surfaces of tooth-coloured posterior restorations.
Removal of discolouration near the gingiva in the course of
prophylactic treatment.
Point:
For polishing deep, occlusal fissures in tooth-coloured
posterior restorations. Removal of exogenous discolouration
in proximal areas in the course of prophylactic treatment.
Notes:
– Recommended speed: 5000 rpm
– Use only slight pressure
– Do not us a water spray
– Avoid heat build-up
– Astrobrush is autoclavable at up to 140 °C (284 °F)
– Polishing paste is not required
Warning:
Do not inhale polishing dust.
Store out of the reach of children.

– Politur von Füllungen aus Composite, Compomer,
Keramik und Glassionomerzement
– Entfernen von exogenen Verfärbungen im Rahmen der
Prophylaxe
Kontraindikation:
Bei bekannter Allergie gegen einen Bestandteil von
Astrobrush.
Nebenwirkungen:
Bisher keine bekannt.
Anwendung:
Regulärer Kelch:
Zur Politur von Restaurationen aus Composite, Compomer,
resinverstärktem Glasinonomerzement und Keramik, insbe-
sondere für die grossflächige Politur von grösseren Restau-
rationen im Seitenzahnbereich.
Grundinstrument zur Entfernung von exogenen Verfärbun-
gen im Rahmen der Prophylaxe.
Kleiner Kelch:
Politur von Frontzahn- und Zahnhalsrestaurationen und im
okklusalen Relief von zahnfarbenen Seitenzahnfüllungen.
Entfernung von Verfärbungen gingivanah im Rahmen der
Prophylaxe.
Spitze:
Politur von tiefen okklusalen Fissuren in zahnfarbenen Sei-
tenzahnrestaurationen. Entfernung von exogenen Verfärbun-
gen approximal im Rahmen der Prophylaxe.
Besondere Hinweise:
– Empfohlene Drehzahl: 5000 U/min.
– Nur mit leichtem Druck anwenden
– Ohne Wasserspray anwenden
– Hohe Wärmeentwicklung vermeiden
– Astrobrush ist autoklavierbar bis 140 °C
– Die Verwendung von Polierpaste erübrigt sich
Warnhinweis:
Polierstaub nicht einatmen
Für Kinder unzugänglich aufbewahren!

Polierpaste möglich.

Description :
Les pointes à polir Astrobrush sont utilisées pour le
polissage des parties occlusales et concaves des restaurations,
et plus particulièrement des fissures. L'effet de polissage est
obtenu grâce au matériau à polir (carbure de silicium)

d'utiliser une pâte à polir.

Utilisation
Brossette standard :
Utilisée pour le polissage des restaurations en composite,
compomère CVI renforcé à la résine et céramique, et
particulièrement pour le polissage de restaurations
postérieures, étendues.
Instrument de base pour éliminer les colorations
superficielles en cours de traitement prophylactique.
Petite brossette :
Utilisée pour le polissage des restaurations antérieures
et cervicales ainsi que pour les surfaces occlusales des
restaurations postérieures esthétiques. Permet l'élimination
