Pressing
Press parameters for the EP500 / EP600
Placing the ingots
Switch on the press furnace in time
Leave the ingot tray support in the preheating
furnace and allow it to cool slowly after you have
removed the last AlOx plunger.
Remove the investment ring from the burnout/preheating furnace immediately after completion of the
preheating cycle. Place the corresponding cold ingots for the layering technique (large or small) in the
investment ring (small ingot for single crowns; large ingot for several crowns or bridges).
Next, position the AlOx plunger.
Large investment ring
Single restorations:
Maximum 1 large ingot or
1 small ingot
Bridges:
Maximum 1 large ingot
Small investment ring Maximum 1 small ingot per
pressing cycle
Do not used 2 small ingots
Parameters to press large investment rings (200 g) –
EP500
Parameter to press small investment rings (100 g) –
EP500
An IPS Empress 2 single restoration is invested in a 100 g ring. A holding time of 15 min. is sufficient.
No postpressing time!

Remove the investment ring from burnout/preheating
furnace. Place the corresponding cold ingot for the
IPS Empress 2 layering technique that matches the desired
tooth shade (refer to the material combination table for
further details) into the ring.
Pressing EP600
Select the program for the IPS Empress 2 layering technique by pressing F3
... and than select large or small ring.
