LIFTING THE MACHINE FOR TRANSPORT
LUBRICATION
CRAWLER TENSION ADJUSTMENT
SIDE CLUTCH ADJUSTMENT
When a lot of play develops in a side clutch lever, or when it becomes difficult to turn the unit smoothly,
adjust the side clutch using the adjust bolt of the side clutch wire. Tightening the adjust bolt (moving it in
the direction of the arrow in the drawing 24) decreases the play in the lever.
There should be 1-5 mm of play at the tip of the side clutch lever.
After adjustment, tighten the lock nut securely.
While the tracks are still new, they will stretch and adjust to the sprockets. As a result, the will become
loose and need adjustment.
To adjust them (fig. 25):
1. Loosen lock nuts and fixing bolt securing crawler carriage.
2. Loosen lock nuts on crawler tensioners.
3. With the body parallel to the ground, use the crawler tension bolt to adjust the clearance of space A,
between the track and the rollers, to 10-15 mm. When crawler tension is not normal, the tracks can
come off the rollers, etc., shortening their life considerably (fig. 26).
4. After adjustment, securely tighten the lock bolt and the lock nuts.
The unit can be lifted with wire ropes or cloth bands suitable to support its weight.
When lifting the machine, use lifting hooks at engine base (1) and pipe (2) in front of the transmission
(fig. 27).
When lifting machine, there will be danger of it falling down.
Therefore, never come too close.
Always to be lifted with empty body (without load).
In order to maintain your unit in good functioning condition, it is advisable to lubricate following
components every 25 operating hours or more frequently if the unit is working in particularly dusty areas.
For this intervention use Lithium based grease no.2.
Engine must be off when performing lubrication!
Lubricate bed sliding pins at points shown in side photo using a common grease gun. Apply grease until
it oozes out of the edge of the pins (fig. 28).
Remove belt cover and lubricate applying two pumps of grease on belt tensioner grease fitting. To easily
gain access to this fitting, lightly lift the belt (fig. 29).
Pump grease twice on grease fitting on shift lever joint (fig. 30).
With the aid of a brush, apply grease on sliding plate of shift lever inside the gear selection grid (fig. 31).
Use a screwdriver to remove covers closing crawlers sliding rollers and apply 2-3 pumps of grease to
fittings.
Securely reinstall the covers to avoid debris from entering the sliding rollers (fig. 32).
