General Information
This kit is for use on the Model 478-002 CPII/ESII Desktop Subset.
Installation
Removing the Old Harness Assembly
1. Remove the 4 screws securing the housing to the bottom panel.
2. Hinge the housing forward to access the interior of the telephone. Locate the post header on the
PCBA marked J5 . Disengage the connector from this post header.
3. Remove and save the hex nuts securing the transformer to the base.
4. Remove and save the 2 internal tooth lockwashers.
5. Pull the transformer off the threaded studs.
Installing the New Assembly
1. Place the new transformer over the threaded studs.
2. Place the 2 internal lockwashers over the threaded studs.
3. Secure the transformer and washers in place with the 2 hex nuts.
4. Locate the post header on the PCBA marked J5. The connector on the transformer is polarized to
ensure a proper fit. Plug the connector onto the header. Ensure the connector snaps firmly into place.
5. Close the subset using the 4 screws.
