4. CLIP REVIEW CHANNEL
The Clip Review Channel is NOT used for on-air playlist control (See Master
Control Channel). The Review Channel is used to build and maintain the
UABS’s Clip Database, a local copy of the list of clips on the video server. The
Review Channel is also used for manual clip playout control.
A. Select Clip Review Channel
The CP20 Control Panel’s second control channel is configured as the Clip
Review Channel. Press the Device 2 key, located in the upper left hand
corner of the CP20.
B. Rebuild Clip Database
The rebuild process reads the list of clips on the video server and
populates a local Clip Database in UABS. Once the rebuild process is
completed, UABS uses the review channel to automatically update the Clip
Database as new clips are added to the video server, or existing clips are
deleted.
The rebuild process is required after powering up the DC20 Device
Controller, and after reconnecting the DC20 Clip Review Channel to the
video server.
1. Press [SHIFT] + Numeric Keypad [5] to rebuild the Clip Database.
“Are you sure you want to rebuild the database?” will be displayed on
the bottom row of the CP20’s VGA display.
2. Press numeric keypad [5] to rebuild the Clip Database. This will take
some time.
OR, press numeric keypad [2] to cancel.
C. Playlist Validation Error Report
The Validation Error Report displays the list of missing clips used in the
Master Control Channel playlist. This list is updated when a clip is added
to or removed from the video server.
1. Press numeric keypad [8] to view the Validation Error Report.
2. Use the wheel or [NEXT] and [LAST] keys to scroll through the list.
3. Press [ESC] to refresh the display
4. Press numeric keypad [7] to return to the Clip Database screen.
