ASSEMBLE RING TO BASE CAN
Assembling the 48" mount is very easy as there are only two major parts to put together. Take the base can and
set it over the base post. Tighten the set screws on the base can to hold it in place. Then take the ring and attach
the 8 bent back brace tabs to the ring. Take the 48" ring, which has the top cross members and the boom tube
pre-assembled, and set it up into the base can. You need to line up the hole on the boom with the hole on the
base can saddle (use the upper front hole on the base can). When you have them aligned slip in the 3/4"x 4 1/2"
bolt. Make sure the bolts are secure but leave them slightly loose until you have lined the antenna on the
satellite you will be using. Once you have aligned the antenna please double check all bolts and nuts to be sure
they are tight.
Assembling the turnbuckle:
Because of International demand, this mount has been designed to be
used almost anywhere in the world. Using the front bracket on the base can and the lower bracket on the boom
you can set the elevation between 0-40 degrees. (see FIG. #5 below) You may also use the bottom rear bracket
of the base can and the rear bracket on the boom to achieve a 32-48 degree elevation. (see FIG. #8 below) We
have a longer threaded rod that can be installed in place of the Right Hand threaded rod for higher elevation
needs. Install the turn buckle in the location for the required elevation for your site.
