Electrical Installation
3.1 Power
The PC-2001 contains internal batteries for power but can receive external power through a
detachable transformer cord (Figure 6).
The primary purpose of the transformer is to charge the internal battery, but the display can
still be operated while the battery is charging. The transformer and cord can remain plugged
into the power source indefinitely with no damage to the timer or its battery.
The indoor version (PC-2001-13) has a single battery, while the outdoor version (PC-2001-11)
has two batteries. On a full charge, each battery should last approximately 10 hours before
recharge is necessary. To recharge the system, simply plug the power cable into a grounded
power receptacle. The recharging unit will not overcharge the batteries. Indicator lights on
the side control panel show when the unit is charging and when it is fully charged (refer to
Figure 8).
