4.2.7 ASI MPE/IP Configuration

The CMR-5940 can be configured to support three modes of operation – MPE/IP, Service
Filter, and MPEGTS. All three modes can operate simultaneously.
Name
The name assigned to the route.
PID
The MPEG-2 PID in Hexadecimal that should be filtered and MPE extracted
from the incoming ASI stream and delivered to the Ethernet as IP. MPE mode
supports both Unicast and Multicast operation.
Mode
•
MPE/IP – MPE coming in over the ASI input is decapsulated and delivered
to the Ethernet as IP.

Service Filter – Incoming Program Streams over the ASI input can be filtered
into individual MPEG-2 elements (PIDs) and delivered to the egress RS-422
port or to the Ethernet as MPEG-2 Transport Stream over IP.

MPEGTS – the incoming MPEG-2 Transport Stream is routed to the Ethernet
port where it is encapsulated into IP.
IP (DVB-TS)
The IP Address assigned to the Transport Stream over IP.
