▪ Subnet mask
This is used to determine if the destination is on the same subnet. The
default value is “255.255.255.0”.
▪ Web Server port
The default web server port is 80. Once the port is changed, the user
must be notified of the change for the connection to be successful. For
instance, when the Administrator changes the HTTP port from 80 to 8080
of the IP Camera which has an IP address of 192.168.1.168, the user
must type “http://192.168.1.168:8080” in the web browser instead of
“http://192.168.1.168”
Accessing Cameras for Logging in with a Static IP Address
Before proceeding or accessing the camera via a web browser, make sure the IP
address of the host computer and each camera are on the same network subnet.
For example, the original camera’s default IP address is 192.168.1.168. Host
computer have to set IP address to 192.168.1.1 and Mask to 255.255.255.0.
