A1.3 OPERATION
Caution!
Performing an Xfer operation twice in succession to the same memory
card will lose all data from both the memory card and the control unit.
This is because the memory card is erased prior to data transfer from
the control unit and the MICROTHERM control unit data is erased after it
has been successfully copied to the memory card. Therefore, make sure
you remove the memory card immediately after the Xfer process is
complete. Label the card to avoid confusion.
NO FURTHER WARNINGS OR SECOND CHANCES are given after the Xfer
option is selected, so you must be sure the memory card does not
contain data you need to keep before you select this option.
Install changes in the MICROTHERM control unit as follows.
1 First, the user must transfer an up to date profile into the control unit.
2. Once the profile has been installed, a new option becomes available
from the control unit keypad and display.
3. Press and hold the function key to access the Xfer option.
4. To select this option, press the backlight key.
5. Insert a memory card into the slot in the MICROTHERM control unit.
The control unit will indicate that data cannot be transferred. This is
normal as the transfer has been blocked until activated by the user.
6. Select the Xfer option.
The memory card will be erased.
All data held in the MICROTHERM control unit will be copied on to the
memory card.
The data is then erased from the control unit.
7. Remove the memory card from the MICROTHERM control unit.
The data now held on the memory card can be transferred via a card
reader into the WinIaq application as normal.
