E. Remove the air conditioning line silencer bracket

and mounting hardware from the silencer and

engine front cover. Enlarge the smaller of the

two holes on the bracket with an 11/32” drill,

remove any sharp edges around enlarged hole

and reinstall onto the silencer.

F. Install the supplied threaded stud into the pas-

senger’s side alternator mount. (See Fig. 7-d

on page 12.) Make sure the end with the least

number of threads goes into the block.

G. Loosen and remove the three nuts securing the

factory coolant reservoir to the car. Temporarily

move aside to provide room to mount super-

charger. (Do not remove any hoses or connectors

from reservoir.)

NOTE: On some late 1997 and 1998 models, a

tensioner stop has been added to the ten-

sioner. This must be removed before bracket

installation.

NOTE: When mounting the supercharger

bracket assembly to the front cover,

make sure that the air conditioning

line silencer bracket is sandwiched in

between the Vortech aluminum bracket

and the front cover in positions #1 and

#2. (See Fig. 7-e on next page.)
