Lighting with a match or taper
Depress the control knob and turn anticlockwise towards the
1/IGN position.
While keeping the knob depressed, light the pilot by inserting a
long match or taper into the pilot viewing opening
(See diagram 6 ).
When the pilot is alight, keep the knob depressed for about ten
seconds to allow the flame sensing probe to warm up before
setting to your preferred heat level.
For your own convenience, have the fire serviced as soon as
possible.
To Turn Off
Push gas tap knob in and fully clockwise to "Off".
Replacing the radiants
Turn the fire off and allow it to cool before attempting to remove
the radiants.
For Miami remove the dress guard by holding the outer edge
and flexing the centre outwards to release the upper and lower
locating pins, see diagram 7.
For Firelite & Contour remove the dress guard by pressing down
the two hooks at the top. Tilt the guard forward and lift out, see
diagram 7.
Lift the centre radiant from the bottom and withdraw forwards,
move the other radiants to the centre and remove in a similar
way, see diagram 8.
To replace, insert top of radiant first, then the bottom and lower
into position, see diagram 9.
Replace the dress guard.
It is suggested that the position of the radiants be changed from
time to time.
