SELECTING SPEAKER
LOCATION
C. This will now expose the steel sub-door panel.
You may find this is completely or partially cov­
ered by brown or black paper secured with a
sticky-black, tar-like adhesive. Do not tear this
paper off. It is there to insulate the door, trap
moisture and reduce wind noise. Carefully un­
peel the paper (do not do this if speaker open­
ings are exposed). You should now be able to
see all the varied size openings available in the
sub-steel of the door. The reason for exposing all
the existing holes is to avoid cutting metal unless
it is absolutely necessary.
0. Now see which existing holes will accept the
speakers you have. Place speaker into opening
and while holding speaker in place, raise and
lower window (re-install window crank) fully.
Check that no moving part touches speaker
while opening or closing window. Now, open and
close door for the same purpose.
E. if your selected location checks out, and you are
satisfied with the location, you can begin the
installation. First, visually check padded door
panel to verify that nothing on it will interfere with
installing the speaker grille (an armrest, etc.).
Proceed to step “H" if location is acceptable. If
not, continue on.

C. Ahora estará descubierto el panel de acero
secundario de la puerta. Este lo podría usted
encontrar semicubierto con un papel marrón o
negro fijado con una substancia adhesiva con un
aspecto similar al alquitrán. No quite este papel,
cuyos propósitos son los de aislar la puerta, pro­
tegerla contra la humedad, y reducir el ruido
causado por el viento. Con mucho cuidado des­
prenda usted el papel (si las aberturas estuvie­
ran ya descubiertas, este paso es innecesario).
Sin el papel le será posible ver los variados
tamaños de las aberturas ya precortadas a su
disposición. La razón para descubrir todas las
aberturas existentes, es para evitar tener que
cortar el metal, a menos queésto fuera
necesario.
D. Ahora vea cuales de las aberturas existentes
aceptaría el altavoz que usted tiene. Ponga el
altavoz en el agujero y al mismo tiempo que lo
detiene en posición trate de abrir y cerrar la ven­
tana (tendrá que reinstalar la manija de la ven­
tana) completamente. Asegúrese de que
ninguna parte móvil esté tocando el altavoz al
abrir y cerrar la ventana. Por siguiente, abra y
cierre la puerta con el mismo propósito.
E. Si el lugar seleccionado resulta efectivo y es de
su agrado, podrá entonces iniciar la instalación.
Primeramente, observe detalladamente el panel
acolchonado para verificar que nada podría
interferir con la instalación del enrejado del alta­
voz (ya fuere un sostén de brazo, etc.). Si resulta
aceptable el lugar, proceda al paso “H”. Si no es
así, continuemos.

ver le papier (ne pas le faire si les ouvertures
pour haut-parleurs sont déjà exposées.) Mail
nant on devrait voir toutes les ouvertures de
grandeur variée, disponibles dans l'acier de I
portière. On expose les ouvertures pour éviU
de couper le métal à moins que ce soit absok
ment nécessaire.
D. Puis, juger quelles ouvertures dans la portièn
s’ajustent aux haut-parleurs. Placer le H.R da
l’ouverture et en tenant le H.R lever et baisse
vitre (avec la manivelle en place) complèlemi
Vérifier qu’aucune pièce (partie) qui bouge
touche le H.R pendant qu’on ouvre ou qu’on
ferme la vitre. Ensuite ouvrir et fermer la porti
pour la même vérification.
E. Si le placement que vous avez choisi est con\
nable, et sj vous en êtes satisfait, vous pouve
commèncir l’installation. D’abord, vérifier le
panneau rembourré de la portière pour que rii
ne bloque la grille du H.R (bras de la banqueti
etc.) Rasser au paragraphe H si le placement
choisi est acceptable. Si non, contineur à lire.

5. This is a poor location to put a speaker in. It is too
low and behind driver’s hearing area.

2. Este es un buen lugar para colocar el altavoz pero
deberá Ud. Engrandecer la abertura existente para
usarla.
3. Verifique el movimiento de manija de la ventanilla.
4. Verifique si hay abrazaderas atrás del lugar
seleccionado con la ventanilla en ambas posiciones,
subida y bajada.
5. Este lugar es inadecuado para ubicar un altavoz. La
posición es demasiado baja y está detrás del
alcance del oído del conductor
