Perform Electric Clutch
Break-in Procedure
With engine running at full speed
(fast), engage and disengage
attachment/PTO drive switch 10 to
15 times. Perform this step before
initial use and after extended storage.
BATTERIES PRODUCE EXPLOSIVE
GASSES. KEEP OPEN FLAMES AND
SPARKS AWAY. DO NOT SET TOOLS
ACROSS TERMINALS.
BATTERY ELECTROLYTE CAN CAUSE
SEVERE BURNS. EYE CONTACT CAN
CAUSE BLINDNESS. ALWAYS WEAR EYE
PROTECTION AND RUBBER GLOVES
WHEN WORKING AROUND BATTERY.
IF ELECTROLYTE CONTACTS SKIN OR
EYES, RINSE IMMEDIATELY WITH
WATER FOR AT LEAST 15 MINUTES.
CALL PHYSICIAN IMMEDIATELY.
RINSE EMPTY ELECTROLYTE PACK
WHEN FINISHED WITH LARGE
QUANTITIES OF WATER. DESTROY
EMPTY ELECTROLYTE PACKAGE TO
HELP PREVENT ACCIDENTS.

Check Battery
Electrolyte level should be level with
bottom edge of cell (Fig. 5-2).
If cables are corroded, clean them.

Activate Battery
a. Remove battery from tractor.
b. Remove battery vent plugs.
c. Fill each cell in battery with
electrolyte as shown in Fig. 5-2.
DO NOT OVERFILL! Read and
follow instructions provided with
electrolyte for proper electrolyte
package handling instructions.
d. Wait 20 - 30 minutes and recheck
electrolyte level. Add additional
electrolyte if necessary. Adá only
distilled water to replace battery
electrolyte loss after battery is
activated.
e. Replace battery vent plugs.
f.
Charge battery at 2 amps for 2
hours.
g. Reinstall battery into tractor.
Connect positive (+) battery cable
to positive (+) battery terminal.
Connect negative (-) battery cable
to negative (-) battery terminal.
