Before Operation
A WARNING
BEFORE OPERATING TRACTOR, READ
AND UNDERSTAND ALL SAFETY,
CONTROLS AND OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS MANUAL AND
ATTACHMENT'S MANUAL. READ AND
UNDERSTAND ALL SAFETY AND
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS ON DECALS
ON TRACTOR AND ATTACHMENTS.
1. Check Engine Oil
Check for proper level of engine oil.
Fill crankcase through fill opening
(Fig. 5-1). Oil level is indicated by
marks on the dipstick, between "F"
and "L". See engine manual for
capacities.

DO NOT REFUEL TRACTOR WHILE
ENGINE IS RUNNING OR HOT. DO NOT
REFUEL INDOORS. KEEP SMOKING
MATERIALS, SPARKS AND FLAMES
AWAY FROM GAS TANK AND FUEL
CONTAINER.

Check Gasoline Level
Fill fuel tank with a good grade of
clean, unleaded gasoline with an
octane rating of 87 or higher. Filler
neck is located at rear of tractor.
Leave about 2 inches of room at top
of filler neck for expansion.
Do not
mix oil with gasoline! Make sure
vent hole in fuel tank cap is not
plugged.

Check Engine Flywheel
Screen
STOP ENGINE BEFORE CLEANING
FLYWHEEL!
Check for debris and
clean regularly.
4.
Visually Check Hardware
Check for loose or missing screws,
nuts and damaged parts. Replace
and tighten if necessary.
5.
Check Tire Pressure
Front: 1 2 - 1 4 P S I ( 8 2 - 9 6 k P a )
Rear:
8 -10 PSI (55 - 68 kPa)

Adjust Seat for Comfort
To adjust, loosen knobs beneath seat
and slide seat forward or backward to
desired position. Re-tighten knobs.
