PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE
CORRECTION
Difficult starting, engine runs poorly.
1.
Defective spark plug.
1.
Replace spark plug, check
connections of plug wire.
2.
Engine is not getting fuel.
2.
Fill fuel tank: check and clean
fuel line.
Engine stalls or looses power.

Choke is on after engine is
warm.

Turn Choke Lever to “OFF”.

Impeller is blocked.

Turn off Sno-Thro, remove spark
plug wire and remove obstruc
tion with broom handle.
3.
Water in fuel.

Follow Engine Instructions to drain
tank and refill.
Excessive vibration.

Loose hardware securing
components.

Do not run unit. Stop and tighten
all hardware, check for damage.

Damage to unit.

Chute or auger is clogged.

Turn off Sno-Thro, remove spark
plug wire and remove clog with
broom handle.
Discharge Chute does not operate
smoothly or remain in position
selected with chute crank.

Worm clevis is not positioned
properly on bracket.
