and washer from shift connecting link. Remove link.
d. Remove (2) tap tites that secure the shift lever
bracket to frame.
e. Remove bracket.
f. Remove connecting link from chain drive.
Remove chain.
g. Remove cotter pin from right side connecting
link to disc bracket.
h. Remove cotter pin from left side connecting
link to disc bracket.
i. Disconnect both links from disc bracket.
j. Remove cotter pin from fork shaft.
k. Slide fork shaft to left side of frame.
l . Be careful not to slide fork shaft beyond
bracket assembly.
m. Using crescent wrench, hold hex shaft and
remove (5) tap tites from friction wheel hub.
n. Holding hex shaft — remove hex nut from
right side of hex shaft.
o. Remove (4) lock nuts from bearing flange left
side opposite hex nuts.
p. Pull hex shaft left and remove friction wheel
and friction wheel hub.
q. Complete drive assembly is now removed
from tractor.
12. ADJUSTMENT LINK ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION —
510022 KIT
Due to problems of misadjusted friction wheels
on 1973-74 Sno-Thros, we have available a 510022
spring loaded Adjustment Link Assembly. This
adjustment link assembly will greatly increase the
adjustment range for proper disc pressure.
This 510022 Adjustment Link Assembly fits the
following Sno-Thro models.

Install as follows;
Tools Required:
W Box Wrench
Vi" Open End Wrench
Regular Pliers
Needle Nose Pliers
Pry Bar
a. Tip Sno-Thro up on blower housing. Brace se­
curely.
b. Remove bottom cover. Use 1/2" Box Wrench.
c. Shift to reverse.
d. Use both 1/2" wrenches and unscrew cap­
screw from the rod adapter. Leave capscrew in clutch
yoke (10541). Remove spring hook (10540) from rod
adapter to relieve the spring tension. Figure 4.
