Electric Drive —
• Raise presser foot.
Treadle Drive —
TO OPERATE THE MACHINE
Place material under presser foot and
lower the presser bar.
Connect plug to electric outlet (see
page 56).
Start machine by pressing controller.
If installed as knee controller, press
knee lever to right.
If installed as foot controller, press
down on foot pedal.
Practice operating machine (without
thread) until you become accustomed
to guiding material and regulating
machine speed.
Loosen stop motion screw.

Place both feet on treadle.
